If I don’t like what I am feeling in the moment I seek to change it by something outside of me, instead of sitting with the feelings and feeling them.
I attempt to dispose of them in a myriad of ways:
I distract myself with T.V.
Sometimes I eat food emotionally, even though I’m not hungry.
I might go sweat it out at the gym (not that this is a bad thing LOL).
I look for answers from my friends by talking excessively about my story, never really getting to the heart of what is up for me.
If you drink, maybe you drink to drown the feelings.
